Our family has lived on this land since 1806, building a deep connection with the nature, traditions, and spirit of Durmitor that has been passed down through generations. The house that still stands today was built in 1912, when our grandfather returned from working in the mines of America, driven by a strong desire to come back to his homeland and the place where he was born. With the money he earned, he built not only a home, but the foundation of everything we are today. That house remains the heart of our story — a symbol of return, belonging, and family values that continue to shape our way of life.

Over time, this family home naturally grew into what is now Vila Montana, a place where we open our doors to guests and share our lifestyle with those who visit. While new apartments provide comfort and privacy, the original house has been carefully preserved as a traditional tavern, where we serve homemade local specialties prepared in the spirit of old recipes. Every corner of our property reflects authenticity, warmth, and a genuine connection to the past, offering guests not just accommodation, but a true sense of home.
